Studio Policies

At G&J Studios we strive to create a friendly and professional environment for all our students. Please read the following policies carefully.

Private Lessons

  • Private lesson packages must be used within 3 months from the date of purchase.
  • Gift certificates must be used within 6 months from the date of purchase.
  • Credits for private lessons expire after 3 months.
  • To qualify for package pricing, full payment must be received by the date of the first lesson. Otherwise, single lesson rates will apply.

Group Classes

  • Group classes typically run once per week for 4 weeks (unless otherwise specified).
  • Group classes require a minimum of 5 participants to run.
  • Please sign up before the start date of the session.
  • Credits from group classes can be transferred to other group classes we offer.

Studio Practice Policy

Students currently enrolled in private lessons may use the studio floor for up to 15 minutes of practice on the day of their lesson (up to 15 minutes before or after), provided the studio is open for business and an instructor is present. Otherwise, regular floor rental fees apply.

Payments & General Rules

  • We do not offer refunds on classes, packages, or gift certificates.
  • We accept cash, checks, and Zelle. All other forms of payment are subject to a 4% processing fee.
  • Checks should be made payable to "Marek Gabor", "Denisa Jancusova", or "G&J Studios".
  • You will be notified in advance (verbally or in writing) of any price changes.
  • Most classes are 45 minutes long unless otherwise noted.

Events & Showcases

  • Fees for competitions, showcases, shows, or any events outside the regular studio schedule are due no later than the day of the event.

Showcase Rules

Please note: For 2026 we may increase registration by 1 additional guest, making the fee $50 more.

  • Registration Fees:
  • $190 for Pro/Am
  • $240 for Am/Am
  • Each student registration includes 2 tickets (one for the student and one for their guest).
  • Each student may perform in one show.
  • A second show may be allowed (with the same instructor, a different instructor, or Am/Am) only if the student brings 7 guests.
  • For students participating in a second show, the registration fee will increase by $100 per additional show (value of 2 additional tickets).
  • If your guest list is not full, please let us know. We will do our best to invite additional audience members to fill the seats. Your fee will not change.
  • Please register at least 3 weeks before the showcase date.
  • Submit your guest list when registering so we can prepare seating arrangements in advance.

Example:
1 show Pro/Am = $190 (2 tickets)
2 shows Pro/Am = $580 (8 tickets)
